I had a weekend free before my business trip to Singapore, so checked the atlas to see where I might go. The island of Central Java caught my eye. Java seemed like one of those places that couldn’t really exist. Before I studied my globe and atlas, I had no idea where it was, and less idea of what I might find there. Jogjakarta? I knew nothing about it. But AirAsia stopped there, so I decided to explore.
Come with me…
Jogjakarta was one of my favourite places to visit. I actually bought a beautiful painting from a local artist while I was there, about a year and a half ago; the vibes were absolutely positive.
I loved it there, too. I’d love to go back. Maybe I’ll plan that soon and venture further into Indonesia, too.
