If you’ve ever heard anyone say that there’s no place like New Orleans, I’d have to agree that’s true. The closest I can come to comparing it to other cities is to describe it as a blend of Savannah and Key West. Even then, the description isn’t accurate. It is a city all its own; a place that is so culturally unique that it’s hard to remember that you’re still in the United States.
I’ve been there four times now. Once in the 1990’s, again in 2008 with a group of Designers for a week of inspirational rebirth (no problem there!), for a July 4th weekend with my family in 2010, and again in 2015 for Spring Break. There is so much to see and do that I’ve rarely repeated my activities. Those that I have enjoyed again and again are the things that excite me about returning to Louisiana.
Come with me…
