Gaudi’s Sagrada Familia

Spain was my daughter’s dream destination. As much as she’d talked about it over the years, I’d never given it much thought. Apparently, neither had a lot of people.

“How many people have been to France?” our tour guide asked. More than half the group raised their hands.

“To Italy?” Lots of hands. “To Germany?” Yep.

“To Spain?” And not a single person raised their hand. None of us had been to Spain before, even though we’d all traveled through Europe.

I’m not sure why Spain doesn’t usually top people’s lists of European places to see, but I’ll do what I can to change that. It was beautiful! Amazing! So much culture and diversity in its landscapes. It will definitely be a place I revisit. I know there’s even more to see.
