Since I’m leaving on a business trip today, I thought I’d share this postcard I sent to my co-workers back in 1998. I got to go to Buffalo in January at the same time another co-worker was going to Florida. I teased them that it felt like a punishment, but in truth, I had a blast. Like with any trip, I managed to squeeze in as much sightseeing as I could and went to Niagara Falls, Anchor Bar (home of Buffalo wings) and wandered around downtown Buffalo. But I couldn’t resist sending them the most boring-looking postcard I could find.
Nice. That postcard is amazing!
Very true, Buffalo is very underrated and indeed a lovely city centre. With the naval links and vast stretches of green parks there is plenty to enjoy.
Did you manage to see both sides of Nigara? I’ve tried both and agree the Canadian side is the better one.
I have seen both sides and have gone back 3 times now. I prefer the Canadian side as well, but it’s all beautiful, isn’t it?
It sure is, summer or winter.
Great postcard of Buffalo! This structure reminds me a bit of London’s Battersea Power Station. Old and iconic!
Thanks! A power station has a postcard, too? I wonder how many of these they sell? 😉
