I’m getting ready to go on vacation and a friend of mine asked me to send her a postcard. Of course, I will! I love sending postcards. It prompted me to look through some old postcards that friends have sent me. Here are two from my junior high school days. I couldn’t help but notice that both Sherry and Chris had to comment on the status of finding cute guys (hunks) during their family vacations. 🙂
The only cute guy I’m likely to see on mine is my husband. Wonder if I should write home to my friend about him?
It seems like finding and meeting cute guys was the epitome of the family vacation back in junior high (for most people at least…. me, not so much). I think I’ve only received about two actual postcards in the mail. Those things are practically like antiques now! 😉
Yes. I didn’t realize how much of our time and thoughts revolved around boys, but now that my daughter is in junior high and we’re headed to the beach, I think I know what will pre-occupy her.
Looking forward to reading your holiday blogs, and come clean about the hunks you meet 🙂
I can’t come clean. My husband reads this. 😉
Ah… to relive junior high days. Um, no thanks. 🙂
I agree! It’s painful enough to watch my children go through it.
I can’t believe you still have your junior high post cards, that’s so great! I wish I still had mine (or do I??) 😀 Happy travels!
Please say you do. You strike me as someone who’s sentimental enough to save them. 🙂
Ha ha, doubt your friend would be interested anymore 😀 Have fun Juliann.
Ahhh, memories! I’m just impressed that you could put your hands on post cards from junior high. Will you come to my house and help me organize all of my shoe boxes and bins of memorabilia? Have a great trip!
Ha ha. I am not organized in the least. But I do have my postcard collection all in one place.
How fun that you still have these! My daughter is in this age range now, and seeing/meeting cute guys are definitely an attraction of travel. I say, whatever gets them on the plane!
Ha! So true. My daughter has noticed quite a few guys on our trip so far. So we keep moving along… 😉
