There is no place in the world as grand to me as the Grand Place in Brussels, Belgium. And nothing as grand as sitting on a step there, watching people walk by as I nibble a waffle.
🙂 I’m not sure it’s still considered cosmopolitan when you eat little other than waffles.
Absolutely !
Thanks. 🙂
Yummy waffle, Juliann. 🙂
I’ve never met a Belgian waffle I didn’t like. 🙂
😆
That sounded more like heaven!! With the addition of some local chocolate of course! 🙂
Chocolate — of course! 🙂
I had mussels when I was there ‘way back in the 70’s, but the waffle looks good, too. Creative take.

Thanks. And what a coincidence – my next post is about mussels. 🙂
“Mussels in Brussels” always sounded too “rhyme-y.” 🙂 But they were delicious!

LOL! Not too rhyme-y for me. That’s the name of my next post. 🙂
My mouth is watering; great shot!
Thanks! It wasn’t easy to get the shot (before I finished the waffle). 😉
Hahaha! I can imagine!
What a unique shot! On a tangent, I realized Brussels (and the whole of Belgium) is a lot closer to London than I thought. I foresee a trip there sometime next year. 😉
Oh, I hope you do. Belgium has so much to offer. It’s one of my favorite places in the world.
I love Belgium – everything does look so wonderful there! Plus the lovely lovely carby food. 🙂 Great shot!
Thanks, Kerry!
oooh boy! Those waffles look and taste so goood. When Amazing Race had a stop in Brussels, racers were required to arrange waffles as part of their task challenge. Waffles in Brussels is that of a thing. 😀
Shoot! I missed that episode. Sounds like it would have been fun. Maybe I can catch it on a rerun.
Okay, I googled it, and it’s on season 19 episode 10. You can probably find it on youtube. 😀
Awesome! Thanks. I’ll look for it on YouTube. This ought to be good.
how very cosmoplitan of you–I am envious
