The weather outside’s not frightful, and my dear, the scene’s delightful.
This is Orchard Road in Singapore — a shopping mecca that puts on spectacular displays of holiday decoration that could rival the festivity of the North Pole. From what I understand, the malls along Orchard Road compete for the best decoration display. I took what pictures I could as the displays went up. My favorite is shown above, but it was the entirety of the Christmas decoration everywhere that made the whole thing special.
It’s hard to see here, but there’s a big purple tree next to the Charlie Brown Cafe and it makes me think of the aluminum trees in the Peanuts Christmas special.

Charlie Brown Cafe… Cute
I liked that, too. I wondered if they erected a big purple tree there on purpose, but thought if they were going to do that, surely they would have put a pink aluminum one there instead.
Love the first picture with those trees! But then all the pictures look great too so I can’t really choose. The malls here have started decorating too but it’s apparent Singapore wins the contest on this. 😉

Orchard Road is full of festive sights. The lights, the colors just brings that sense of fun and joy the holidays brings. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

I’ve never really pondered how other countries celebrate Christmas but this is cool to see in Singapore. I have a Charlie Brown tree in the closet I should bust out for the rest of the month.

It was all very modern and chic. There were no real trees or greenery that I saw, but it was all so fitting for Orchard Road.

I just got back a couple weeks ago. I was there on a business trip, but hope to go back again with my family so that we can explore even more.
