My friend Erna, who lives in Belgium, learned that I collect postcards and now sends them to me whenever she travels. Which is a lot. And to places all over the world. I get to see her once or twice a year and we spend the whole week working together and catching up on each others’ lives over dinners and work lunches. I’ve been to Brussels 13 times now and see her every time I go. We’ve become dear friends.
I was especially touched that she thought to send me a postcard from her recent trip to Sweden, which is where she spent her birthday. And she said it was fantastic! 🙂
Where would you spend your birthday if you were to take a trip?
Hawaii with bff/ohana
Wise woman. You know how to do a birthday right, too!
Scotland!
Nice! Especially if you have a summer or fall birthday (in my opinion).
Working on getting there. Just applied for my passport! Happy Birthday travels to you!
Sweden would be just fine, thank you. 🙂 –Curt
So true, Curt! Plus, I always trust Erna’s recommendations.
How lovely to receive postcards from your friend. I think I’d like to spend my next birthday in Cornwall, England.
I feel very blessed to have such wonderful friends. 🙂
What a lovely way to keep in touch. With so many unexplored places it’s hard to pick one, but anywhere by the ocean would be fun.
An oceanside birthday sounds like a great birthday, indeed.
